COLLEGE GARDENS

This Regina 'Transitional Area' development is located on the site of the former Central Collegiate circa 1908, which was of notable design in the Collegiate Gothic style. The buildings were left vacant in the mid-1980s and were allowed to deteriorate. Studies showed that restoration was not viable due to foundation and structural issues, and the site was redeveloped for residential use, supporting City of Regina's objective to increase the resident population around the downtown business district.

The scale and materials are reminiscent of the Central Collegiate design using similarly coloured brick and Tyndall stone. The site development is one complete block and comprises three separate buildings within a landscaped setting. The three buildings accommodate 110 residential units, incorporating underground parking and amenities within the buildings.
