SaskPower Weyburn Service Centre

The maintenance and operations building serving the Weyburn Region of Saskatchewan Power Corporation is modeled after the earlier completed Prince Albert Service Centre but with significant program changes to do "more with less". A detailed program was developed in close consultation with the Weyburn user group. Earlier conceptual design was done by our firm for a contemplated LEED Platinum building, however this concept was not pursued.

This facility is developed within a simple and economical footprint of 3264m². Vehicular maintenance, storage, crew shops, and administrative areas are included. The Fleet Services area of the building incorporates an overhead bridge crane. Building and site security is a major consideration. Although LEED certification was not a requirement, energy-saving features are incorporated.
