AGRIUM EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTRE

Designed to fit between significant underground service corridors within the highly saline environment of the Agrium Potash mine near Vanscoy, SK, this office building serves two main functions – as office space for an expanding contingent of engineering and technical staff, and as the Emergency Operations Centre for the mine.  As such, in addition to providing expandable office space for 45 engineering, technical and support staff, the building incorporates a large training/muster point for emergency response personnel, a small first aid station for a nurse, an ambulance loading area, a small dry area used for staff moving between this building and the outbuildings at the mine, and a secure emergency control room.
