THE FRANKLIN

This 15 storey residential high rise is located in downtown Saskatoon and responds to the City's desire to increase residential development downtown.

Externally, this high rise maintains a residential feel and scale to avoid the architectural qualities of typical high rise office towers. Further, such a building is quite prominent within the context of downtown Saskatoon and, therefore, the architectural design was intended to be timeless, attractive, and to contribute toward the architectural quality of its surroundings.  From a distance the building adds to the skyline of Saskatoon in a unique way, and sets an important example for similar developments.  At street level, the project is enhanced by the lower proportions, shapes and design features of the building.

Exterior materials include brick, tyndall stone (limestone), acrylic stucco decoration, a green prefinished sloped metal roof deck, and green window and door frames with green tinted glass.

The building accommodates 97 residential suites of various sizes, manager and co-manager suites, dining room, kitchen, lounge, T.V. and games room, meeting rooms, office, exercise area, hairdressing salon, library, and other support facilities.
